Bricked my phone trying to change the font as per a thread on this forum. :(

I tried getting into recovery menu, but none of the options worked, including wiping the cache, etc......I would try to unbrick it, but I am unsure where to get the .sbf file to try this.

My email is [email protected] ---

Any help is greatly appreciated.

DL'ing the 200 and some odd meg Gift file now.

Quite depressing messing with your phone, only to wind up bricked, hehe. I have learned my lesson, I hope the method works.

All I did, was replace droidsans-bold and droidsans.ttf files with different fonts from my PC, and voila, bricked.

Well, disregard my last post I guess. The screen really was just screwed up. After wiping and SBF etc, parts of the screen are totally unresponsive. Had to order a replacement

So I tried to go from 2.1 to 2.3 (mistake, I know now), and bricked my X. Got it back to factory by using RSD lite and The Gift. Problem is that it goes to the "Welcome" and "Touch the Android to Begin", and makes the activation call....but then goes right back to the Welcome screen (even says activation was successful). I've tried the four corner touch to bypass welcome, but with no data I can't go any further. Help please!

Call Verizon and have them walk you through a manual activation.

When I do the activation call, it says "Your phone has been activated successfully". Do you think I still need to try the manual activation?
