Doesn't the pulldown editor only let you modify 7 characters?

Ya, its all in there. The only thing I can think of is I'm still on my old Alltel plan.. and that somehow is screwing something up.

The system root folder has to be in R/W mode prior to apply the theme in MetaMorph.

I used Root Explorer, on the very first window that pops up, press "Mount R/W" at the top of the screen, it should be a white looking button. Then go into the "System" Folder and make sure it is "R/W" also, then go into the "Framework" folder and make sure that is in R/W. Once that is done, go back to Metamorph and apply the theme. My phone rebooted automatically, and upon return, the banner was change.

These are screenshots of how Root Explorer should look prior to applying the MetaMorph theme for the custom notification text. You are looking for the Mount R/W and Mount R/O things at the top to match as well as their correlating folders.
