So I installed this ROM. After removing all the parts I didn't want I did a nandroid backup and called it UltimateDroidClean. Now after spending a few hours getting everything back the way I like it, I decide to do a new nandroid backup named it UD27March10. The problem is that the status bar will move 3/4 of the way and it seams to freeze during dumping system.tar. If I do a battery pull and reboot, I noticed the backup is only about 3.5 mb. Also tried a simple backup with the same result. Why does it freeze on dumping system.tar?

    BTW SPRecovery .99.3B

I had this problem before also. The only thing I found to fix it was do the latest nandroid restore first. The bad news is that all that time you spent getting it the way you liked it might have to be redone after the restore. Good luck.

I didn't think of it at the time but my battery was at 40% and plugged in.
I tried again this morning after full charge and it worked just fine. Coincidence? Or is the some failsafe built in?

I'm not sure but I'm glad you got it to work.
