UGH! "Ongoing" won't stop.

Tried to save a picture from a website. The site was secure (https) but the cert was expired. I clicked continue to ignore the warning (I run the site).

Now my notification bar has a download icon that says "Ongoing" and it won't go away. Turns out there is a known bug and this happens when you try to download a file from a secure site with a certificate problem. Fine, but how the hell do I kill the "Ongoing" thing?!?!?

Yup, didn't work. You actually just have to sit and watch your battery be drained until the download attempt times out... roughly 10 mins.

If you long press on the ongoing notification does it bring you to a Manage Downloads Screen where you have the option to "Cancel All Downloads" ?

Negative. When this happens it really hoses you. See here:
