I installed UD 3.0.0 (from BB .4) last week with Chevy's 1.2 LV kernel. Since then, I've had several annoying issues.

    1. It takes forever to boot and be functional.
    2. It gets extremely hot and tears up battery usage.

    Here are the main issues....

    3. It doesn't recognize my SD card for my gallery and music (and probably for other things I haven't found out yet).
    4. I can't get back into SPRecovery in order to restore my previous ROM/Backup or anything else.

Can someone help me with these problems???

Wow, that is nasty right there man, no wonder your annoyed. Those are some bad issues however I am on v 3.0.0 and don't have any of them. The battery really depends on your overclocking, use, and stuff like flash or 3G use. My phone boots up faster than it ever has so thats a problem...

I would suggest this. Flash SPrecovery - if you have Rom Manager you can scroll to the bottom where it says 'flash alternate recovery' and that'll do it for you easily. After that I would say boot into recovery and wipe system and cache both a few good times to make sure you clean, then re-install the update.zip of v3.0.0 so it will be a fresh install. Then report back!

If you can download rom manager and flash clockwork recovery then reboot and go back into rom manager and scroll to alternate recoveries and reflash SPRecovery and see if you can get into SPRecovery otherwise do this.
That should work but if not try this

    Getting to 2.0.1 no root
WHEN IN RSD LITE MAKE SURE NOT TO UNPLUG ANYTHING UNTIL IT IS DONE OR IT WILL BRICK IT BEYOND REPAIR BY ANYONE INCLUDING VERIZON
Connect your phone to USB and turn it off then turn it back on, while your phone is booting hold up on the DPAD. (Some users have said it is easier to hold the volume down button and camera button instead.) (if stuck in boot loop don’t connect to usb just boot up holding up on the DPAD. Once screen is own connect to usb.
Run RSD Lite 4.6 as Administrator (For all you Vista and 7 folks out there. If you are using XP you may not need to run as Administrator)
Click the ... next to the filename box and browse to C:\Users\George\Desktop\droid\aaRootDroid\VZW_A855_ESD56_QSC6085BP_C_01.3E.01P_SW_UPDATE_03.sbf
Hit start and below it should give you completion progress and all of that.
Once your phone is done being flashed (It may take a while so don't unplug it) it will reboot and you will be back at stock 2.0.1 no root.
    Update to 2.1
    Rename 2.1 android.zip located at C:\Users\George\Desktop\droid\aaRootDroid\2.1 android.zip to update.zip (not update.zip.zip)
    Turn your phone off.
Boot into recovery (hold x and hit power)
Wait for a triangle with exclamation point to appear.
Hit the volume up and camera button (half-way down) at the same time.
    Format data and cache
Using the D-Pad select “apply update.zip” and press in the gold button on the D-Pad.
    Reboot
    Root 2.1
WHEN IN RSD LITE MAKE SURE NOT TO UNPLUG ANYTHING UNTIL IT IS DONE OR IT WILL BRICK IT BEYOND REPAIR BY ANYONE INCLUDING VERIZON
    Connect phone to computer
Open RSD Lite located at C:\Program Files\Motorola\RSD Lite\
Slide open your keyboard, hold up on the d-pad, then the power button for 5 seconds and release.
Your phone should then boot to a black screen which is your bootloader.
Click the … next to the filename box in RSD Lite and browse to C:\Users\George\Desktop\droid\aaRootDroid\SPRecovery_ESE81.sbf
Double click and open the file.
Click “start” and allow the SPRecovery SBF to flash. This should not take long.
Allow for your phone to reboot and for RSD Lite to show that you are 100% and completed.
Close RSD Lite and disconnect your phone. You now have SPRecovery installed on your Droid.
Rename ESE81update.zip located at C:\Users\George\Desktop\droid\aaRootDroid\ESE81update.zip to update.zip (again not updated.zip.zip)
Place this at the root of the SDCard
Reboot into recovery (power down and hold x when powering up)
Select wipe data/factory reset (do twice)
Select wipe cache partition (do twice)
Choose install then allow update.zip installation and then choose Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)
    The update will then install
Once done tap the power button to go back a screen and select reboot
    Re-activate the phone
Then reboot back into recovery and restore your last backup

Uploaded, just change the file name to update.zip and flash using sprecovery.
    :icon_ banana:

Well P3's kernel upload fskning failed here, I tell you what phatneff I'll hotlink back to blackdroidmod.com, UD will let me upload there.

    ****LINK REMOVED****

Another thing, you should wipe you're phone if coming from BB 4.0. I'd say try the kernel first then if problems continue wipe.

PM me if you need help getting sprecovery installed back on you're droid.

    Thanks,
    Haledroid
