Thanks to the amazing people working on the Droid, I'm on 2.0.1 with the amazing new 2.1 3D app button and beautiful multi-touch new gallery! >.< *squeal*

But I have 2 gallery apps. It's not much of a deal if I can't atleast hide one (I have a multi-touch gallery icon on my homescreen, don't need it in the 3D app button) but if anyone might know how to get rid of it (without uninstalling the multitouch gallery) that'd be great!

    Delete it from /system/app.

    Or rename it at least.

How do I delete it? Do I use a terminal emulator from the market or just dig into Astro? I'm not the sweetest lemon in the orchard.. I require instructions to do things >.<

Er.. well, I applied a root update but I do not have the Superuser Permissions.

Actually, I just downloaded a Terminal Emulator app and it denies me permission, so no.

You will need to root yourself first. Knowing the risk of voiding your warranty, keep that in mind before you decide to do it.
