Fans of the famous character actor Gary Oldman might be pleased to check out these two brand new commercials for the all new HTC One M8. They definitely appeal to a more "discerning" crowd and the direction/theme of the commercials is very powerful. It looks as if HTC is trying to build their product mystique by marketing the device as a higher-end smartphone for the elite. This isn't a bad approach in the least, and definitely makes more of an impact than the silly Robert Downey Jr. commercials. The HTC One M8 is a premium product and one could argue it deserves a "premium" reputation. If HTC can build up their brand cache, this could be an effective way to gain marketing traction against the Samsung-Apple duopoly stranglehold.
