Twitter posts showing on contacts

I noticed in my contacts that anyone who has a Twitter account that I follow has their Twitter status show up anytime I receive a call from them. Since most people I know rarely tweet, this can get really annoying. Is there any way to disable this feature, or better yet, substitute it for their Facebook status? I know on the Droid 1 I could show Facebook status but can't seem to figure out how to do it on the Droid 3.

Go into "My Accounts" and select Twitter and uncheck "Sync Contacts"
Similarly if you have your Facebook accounted added and "Sync Contacts" I think that will put the status updates there.
