If none of these apps don't work for you, Slingbox is another option. It's not a remote, just let's you watch whatever you have at home on your phone.

I've got the Dish Slingbox setup. I use my phone's hotspot, if there's no Wi-Fi available, and watch whatever I my tablets for a bigger picture than my phone's screen size.
The app has a built in remote so I can use my phone, or tablets, to change channels, or whatever, if(when) I can't remember where I put the remote and don't feel like getting up and tapping the "find remote" button on the Hopper.
Just a few years ago I thought I'd arrived when I could listen to internet radio on my Dare via Bluetooth and now this stuff. Just wow!
