*Need linux for this procedure in your PC or on live CD (ubuntu, fedora, opensuse....)
*Need windows to complete the process

    Necessary Files
    2.3.4 sbf verizon http://fwteam.grupoandroid.com/ProXT610/VRZ_XT610_4.7.3_user_signed_1FF.sbf.gz

(adb, busybox, finishroot, sbf_flash, su, Superuser) https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lp00fjl3du1xxf6/WW04XSVwgU

A.- Unpacks everything in one folder (the project will name, any name can bring them to your taste) in it you should be all files
*unzip VRZ_XT610_4.5.3_user_signed_1FF.sbf and rename it verizon.sbf

    For example:

    adb
    busybox
    CG37.smg
    finishroot
    sbf_flash
    su
    Superuser
    verizon.sbf

    1. - Once you get them in on ubuntu will enter the terminal:
bone will start where is the symbol of ubunu, selected applications, terminal.

    2. Copy the folder of files to
    Desktop of ubuntu ...

    5. - Now write:

    sudo chmod + x sbf_flash

6.-delete all the mobile phone data.
    enter the
mobile phone recovery or quench the cellular press r + m + power triangle will appear in an exclamation mark press both volume keys at the same time a menu will appear, move on with the volume keys and they enter with the enter key.
select wipe data / factory reset. they enter, let doing its job, then reboot system now,
turn on once you have deleted all data.

    7. - Turn off the
mobile phone and turn it on in bootloader mode:
press both volume keys at the same time more power, it will turn the mobile phone with the black screen with white letters saying

    bootloader 0c
    conect usb cable
    etc. etc.

    8. - I plugged in the pc, and the terminal write:

    sudo ./sbf_flash -r --userdata CG37.smg verizon.sbf

they enter and leave it do its job ...

    9. -
once you finish everything and the mobile phone is turned on write:

sudo bash enter finishroot.sh and give

let them do their job ...

THIS STEP NEVER WORKS ... ME! always says permission denied

    Now use windows:

10.- Windows start ... connect mobile phone on pc mode and the usb debugging.

    setting/application/development/check usb debugging
    download the superoneclick https://www.dropbox....jjqj/soc1.7.rar

This makes absolutely no sense. The commands you've posted will fail. Are you trying to edit the CG37.smg file inside of that sbf? Please review your syntax and repost.

YEAH!! - I just accomplished this feat

    Not by these instructions though.
    I can't give u the blow-by-blow detail but basically.

    I used RSDLite5.6 and flashed VRZ_XT610_4.6.8_user_signed_1FF.sbf
I had a big issue with a function stopping unexpectedly. I got it to a half stable state by continually touching FORCE STOP.
I then tried flashing DROIDPRO_2.26.20_FULL.sbf. Not much better luck here - same error different program.
I then went back to flash VRZ_XT610_4.6.8_user_signed_1FF.sbf.

When I did this I had to keep hitting FORCE STOP on the error popup to allow the flash to proceed.
That is the part I can't explain so just be persistent.

This time it worked and everything was stable.
I the used Superoneclick to root. When I used this before on 4.7.3 it stopped at step 7 as others r reporting.

    This time - no problem.

    ROOTED!!!!!!!!!!

Installed OTA Rootkeeper, Superuser, Titanium backup and reflashed with 4.7.3.XT610.Verizon.en.US

YMMV - but it takes persistence.

    then installed DroidWall ---

HOWEVER, for some reason this doesn't appear in Superuser and won't ENABLE the firewall because it says it does not have access permission.

Can anyone answer that for me???????????
