Turn off some sounds

Apologize if this has been answered...couldn't find it.

How can I turn off all sounds except for incoming phone calls? I don't want to be woke up by email notifications (I use K9). I cannot see how to do this.

i believe there's an app for that. you didn't give a time frame for this but if you want it to be that way all the time then you just set your individual ringers/notifications for silent while leaving phone ringer to your preference. if you only want this to happen while you're in bed then you'll need an app to set ringer profiles. there's been several in the market over time.

I believe "Tasker" allows for profiles like this to be set, I don't use it but I see people discussing it all the time

easy reminder...free in market. allows you to set times not to be bothered.

Timeriffic does this, too. I have the phone set not to ring at night. You set it up once and that's it.

I'd suggest using an app. If you want to search for more, try using the keyword "profiles".

Thanks all! I tried them all and Timeriffic was the best for my needs (want the phone to ring but nothing else during sleep time). Tasker looked good but I'm not smart enough to figure it all out
