I attempted to install the ginger stone theme using the update.zip method and it bootlooped. Does anyone have an idea as to where I went wrong?

You can't flash one theme directly over the other if the first thing screwed your phone up. You may need to reflash the ROM, but you'll HAVE to do a factory reset before you try to flash the new theme.

I was able to restore the backup and ended up putting the venom theme on it but it is not my style. Do I just do another restore to get rid of it so I can go back to the standard cm?

Don't get me wrong, it was a nice theme. I really liked the green but I had a hard time reading the text because it was so dark. I will check out your other ones and give em a shot.

I'm not quite sure what ya mean.... if its the preset themes in cm, you can try it and revert back if ya don't like it....

Yours is an update.zip-format theme, right? Well, would setting up the black theme that comes stock with CM on the Droid keep the text lighter so you could use your theme better?

I ran the theme on CM6.1 and I just don't know what text is being referred to on this matter... If the notification and items colors aren't changed inside cm settings then it's black on black cause I added a black tab on the notifications... as far as the stock black theme idea, that might work... I really don't know since like I said, I didn't have any issues with too dark of a text... but I'd like to figure this out as well... thanks for the ideas and I'll test it later...

    Here to help. :)

And occasionally throw a monkey wrench into the works, but sometimes that's when you get the most interesting end product. :D

It was the text in the pull down notification bar. I couldn't read the text because it was black also. I have not changed any cm settings yet. I guess I will explore that and try it again.

No prob man.. I wasn't sure what ya meant by "not your style" but if that's all it took to fix it, then awesome... it has a lot of extras like the pattern unlocker, camera stuff, etc... hope you enjoy it... Frost Byte is an ice blue theme but I do need to fix a few color codes in it and Berry Blast is a pink/ purple theme...

If I weren't a nightly flasher I'd try Frost Byte right now. :) I'm sick of staring at images that look like someone had too much time at a meeting and a #2.5 pencil that needed shortening. ;)
