I followed the "installing a clean rom" guide. Tired a bunch of different things. but always kept getting FCs on the android acore? Anyone have a similar experience?

Do a fresh wipe... wipe multiple times in recovery... and then fresh install. THEN, I'd say skip any TB that isn't extremely essential. Skip them all if you can. May take a few moments to rebuild your settings, but worth the effort, IMHO.

I maintain a nandroid of all my stable runs. If I want to go to a different ROM and back, I just return to an earlier build, rather than reinventing the wheel.

I find TB to be more problematic than helpful at times.

Same exact thing happened to me. Something happens with titanium when I try to restore any system apps or data (tried the batch restore of apps + system data, and restore of system data). Even if I'm just restoring mms settings and messages I get the same acore notification.

If going from froyo to gb or gb to froyo DO NOT restore any system apps or data. The code differences can cause force closes. I personally experienced the .acore force closes when I first moved to GB b/c of that
