To upgrade or not to upgrade...that is the question

I know everyone is excited about the release (finally!) of the Nexus. Here is my question...my upgrade is "live" 4/3/12. But my mother, who is still happy with her not so smart flip phone, has an upgrade available now which I could transfer to my line. So do I transfer the upgrade and get the Nexus or wait until April to see what the next big thing is?

If you love stock ICS, there is no replacing the Nexus. Any device that comes out in the next year will have a skin on the top of it and unless you like skins, you'll be stuck with a modified(crappier) ICS.

I'd upgrade, minus the picture quality(which may or may not be a software issue), it's one hell of a phone. The only thing you're going to see in April are quad core phones that aren't optimized to even use their additional cores.
