How will the Thunderbolt perform as a gaming phone? I have heard the Snapdragon processor is not as well suited for gaming as other chips. For instance, the Motorola Droids run some type of powervr chip and the Samsung Galaxy runs a Hummingbird chip which everybody says is the best for gaming. How will the Thunderbolt stack up against, say, the Galaxy and the Droid X for games?

I also read the Thunderbolt uses a second generation Snapdragon, so perhaps the newer version is more adept at gaming.

It should be ok, but nowhere near Samsung which itself is nowhere near iOS.

Expect Angry Birds to work, don't expect SF4 and MGS.

*edit* if you want to do gaming on the phone, go WP7 or iOS.*/edit*

Well I imagine it will be able to play games like Quake and Nova. I play those on the droid overclocked to 1ghz with no problem. Also thunderbolt has a good amount of ram which I believe would be good for caching game data.
