I knew there was a reason I liked you boatman.....I have a 2008 Kawi 1600 Vulcan Classic. My first car accident at age 48 in September ended my riding while healing up from a dislocated right ankle and lacerations to my leg. If I'd have been on my Vulcan, I'd have never made it to my 49th birthday a month later.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone have any recommendations for music, for example speakers that fit on the handlebars. Also, something comfortable to wear under the helmet - I won't ride w/o a helmet even though its optional here in PA.

And, not sure how I missed this thread, but so great to see Droid users also who are riders. I just have an old man's bike, too old for the sports bikes.

All pictures taken from my BB Storm (except the last picture):

Oh, I ride all year around. And for you Ladies and Gents that do as well. I want to recommend a set of winter gloves off of motorcyclesuperstore.com Cortech Scarab Winter Gloves - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore these are by far the most comfortable and warm gloves I have worn. I ride in any temperature, so far my record is -10. Anything past 40 degrees, I suggest heated grips with these.

Great thread. I'm a big motorcycle guy. Been riding my whole life, and worked in the industry until just recently. Heres one of mine, my current favorite:
2007 Ducati 1098. Termi 70mm pipes, Race ECU and filter, Ohlins shock, Ohlins fork internals, Ohlins damper. Euro slave cylinder. Bunch of carbon goodies.
    Also have a 97 CBR 900, 83 Yamaha RZ350, DR650 Dual sport, and a scooter. Just sold a CBR 600 trackbike.

I love and miss my Ducati. Your picture makes the 1098 look strange. The piece behind it looks like the seat at first glance, i thought you had some crazy modified seat. Bike show is coming up here in NYC, always a dangerous time for me and my reckless spending habits.

Wish I still bent in the right places to enjoy some of the other Sweet Rides on this thread. I tore my R/shoulder up in 81 in Germany (permanent 3rd Deg A/C) & last Christmas tore 1 1/2 layers of L/Rotator Cuff. That's why I'm Trikin right now, take my R/hand, put L/hand on the Grip, & Punch it.

I'd Love a nice Duc or Aprillia.

I'm about ready to de-preserve Hi Ho Silver (ZZR1200RR) & see if I can still handle her, she's a nice Opa Hi-Way Scoot.

Them Boss' wear me out on a 400+ mile day.

Just for FYI, if you have a J&M CB system (which probably means that you ride a cruiser or geezer bike like I do) the Droid works great - through the helmet speakerand mic set-up you can receive and take calls, dial handsfree, listen to music and hear turn by turn navigation instructions . . .

Got a 06 ZZR600. Had it since new but only have about 17k miles on her.

When funds will allow I'd really like to get a vstrom 1k so I can tailor the bike more to me (I'm 6'10" :) )
