Toolbars are a pain? You're telling you never use the shortcuts built into Android? You've never used pie or LMT and thought it was great? You've never desired quick access to something? At one time pie was all the rage. The second screen was a fixed toolbar, at least with this it looks like you can hide it.

I've tried plenty of then and they've all fell flat... The second screen didn't. It did exactly what it was supposed to do and it did it well... Sometimes I wished for more extensibility however it always did exactly what it needed to... And it could be in while my phone screen was off.

"How to remove Google Search bar" 19.8 million results.
People won't ask how to remove LG's...because unlike Google, LG will allow you to remove it easily. Pie, schmie.
As LiftedPlane said: in this crowded market you need to set yourself apart.
LG V10: Best camera at the time. 2nd screen. Removable battery.
LG V20: Best audio at the time, 2nd screen. Removeable battery.
Note: these are all things people will specifically buy your phone for. Something no one else has.
LG V30: No removable battery. No 2nd screen. Hopefully best camera + best audio = good phone.
But I promise you this, Pop: no one is going to buy a V30...because it has a toolbar.

For the record: I am a HUGE LG fan. I want them to succeed.

Having a constant search bar is apples to oranges compared to a toolbar you can hide..LG was losing money until the G6, so not many clenched onto the V20 as it was. Doing something to finally stand out, and doing something just to be different aren't the same. We'll see how this plays out, but it's not like the V-line was a hot seller to begin with.

I'm also an LG fan, despite the bootloop fiasco, so I hope it does well too.

I'm optimistic about LGs future. Try and find a bad review of the G6. 2 year warranty? And an LG Pixel? If the V30 brings the hardware? Look out Samsung.

The Second screen at top of V20 -
I use it alot - for the flashlight at night
when its dark in stairway at 5pm -
and held sideways, aimed at wall -
lights up entire area so anyone following
has perfect lighting as well on the stairs.
---------------------------------------
(On Screen floating Toolbar - posted earlier -
I personally like this better than wasted space on the second screen)
(They must not have phone with 2nd screen)-
---------------------------------------
The second screen is simply occupying the dead space on the camera line.
Top of main screen border ends at camera line.
So LG actually made a very clever choice making this dead space a functional tool of options.
----------------------------------------

A floating screen - as long as its easy to pull up when needed, when already deep into other activities.
Cheers
