n0m0n, try installing autokiller from the market. It is an app that allows you to change the built in memory manager settings for the OS. Once you have it (or even minfree manager), hit menu, then presets. Pick the moderate preset and apply, then pick the aggressive preset and apply.

    See if that helps.

shouldn't have to be done each time, just once, but make sure it applies the settings on boot. I have mine set to aggressive on autokiller, maybe try the second to most 'aggressive' settings you have in minfree.

What happened is that adrynalyn tried to build an aggressive type of setting into 1.3, but it didn't quite work, so that's why overriding it with something like minfree or autokiller seems to work. He's said it'll be fixed in the next version, or he might even put out a small update to fix 1.3.

After looking at this...I have a thought on the dialer...can it be done reverse from this where the numbers are gold with the black background, and maybe when you push the buttons, the numbers that appear above...maybe have them be red? Does that make sense and is it do-able?

What do you mean by: try the second to most 'aggressive' settings???
The settings are (in minifree) Default
    Mild
    Aggressive
    Custom
    Save Current as Custom

    second?

    Thanks

Okay, wasn't sure of what settings minfree had, I thought there were a few more. I'd try setting it to aggressive and see if that helps. If you want to go custom, here's what mine are set at via autokiller's aggressive preset:

    foreground 6
    visible 12
    secondary server 16
    hidden app 82
    content provider 90
    empty app 98

I dont' remember exactly what the settings are named in minfree, but hopefully the above will help you. If not, I'll install minfree a bit later on and check it out again.

I assume you feel that autokiller is better?
    Why?

I also have a app called autostart on my device would autokiller combine these 2?
I like autostart because I can choose to disable certain app's from booting up at startup.

    Thanks

minifree and autokiller arent much different. they do the basic same things. um autokiller comes with more presents. but they will both get the job done.

    As of Right Now:

    1. Port all themes to 1.3.1 (Red Rum, Clean Black, Black ice)
    2. Try to port Dark Edge to 1.3.1 (Gold, Red, Blue)
    3. Port the rest of Dark Edge to Chaos (green, Pink)

As you can see I have 8 Themes I have to mess with and get working for the new rom, I am going to be very busy, if there is anyone out there with porting experience I could use the help!

Looks good but it seems the star is stretched too much horizontally. Its not proportionate. Maybe lower the opacity a bit as the space inbetween keys kinda throws off the look/outline of the buttons. Personally, I think the texture overlay on the star is what's throwing it off. Just my .02 though :)
