I have tried both 928's and the Watermark theme and both seem to slow my phone and have a lot of lag. Anyone else getting this? For now I'm back to stock 4.6 notheme, I hate the blue themes.

I really don't see how a theme can hurt your phones performance. I mean all a theme is is the same exact files and framework with image changes...

I have experenced it with the 928 theme but not watermark. With the 928 theme it cuts my quadrant score in half.

I can't see how it should hurt performance either, but I can see a difference.

I probably don't have to say this but I am in no way criticizing 928 or the dev of Watermark, I'm just looking for help with a problem.

I believe a theme could do so - reasoning is the png's themselves - if the themer is creating files that are significantly larger than the stock ones, and in addition have not been run through optipng (I do this for my theme), it takes resources to load that stuff up, and scroll it back and forth on the screen, etc.

No hard evidence, but it makes sense to me.

themes have also been known as a virus like on windows xp or windows 7 the files are bigger and the graphics are more complex so yes performance is always gonna hurt when you instal one
