Does anyone have a working theme for ESE53? i would love to use it
Here's two good one's that I have tried out myself. Screenshots of the Desire theme in my sig..
[THEME] Desire theme
[Theme] Flavored Ice MetaMorph 2 Flavors
There seems to be a lot of folks working on new themes over at alldorid (Droid). And quite a few of them are working on the ESE53.
I use a combo of the two Flavored Ice. I call it Lemorice.
You can install them through Metamorph. I just pull my framework-res.apk, edit it on my local computer, then push it back when I want to make any changes. I got the whole proces down to 10 minutes from start to finish.
How do you edit the framework?
Well, you can do it manually, but the Desire theme has an update.zip for the framework-res and then Metamorph for the rest.
Was wondering if Launcher2 /w Apps on Bar v1.1 would work on here? Anyone tried?
[release] Launcher2 /w Apps on Bar v1.1 *Updated 02/08/10*
Says ese25 but works on ese53 (at least Pete's BB series).
1. Pull it from /system/framework on your phone to your SD card.
2. Mount your phone to your PC.
3. Open, NOT extract, the APK with something like WinRar or 7Zip.
4. Replace what you want. **Stay away from the XML's unless you know what you are doing.**
5. Push the framework-res.apk back to your phone.
This is how I do it each time with no problems, If you follow these steps and hose your phone, sorry.
If i use Root Explorer will i be able to copy and paste the apk? or whats another way to do it using Terminal Pro or whatever the commands, because adb doesnt work for me
That gave me nothing but trouble. The phone would crash every time.
Why isn't ADB working? How is it failing?
I think I got adb working last night after installing some of the needed files. But how come I can't use metamorph anymore to just install the framework-res, everytime I try to do that it just reboots and nothing happens. What are the commands to push certain files using Terminal Emulator, or the commands using abd
