    StunningBlues for Simply Stunning 5.4/5.5
    ***Updated 8/23/2011 @ 06:15***
8.23 changes: Added Thanks to post - sorry people who missed credit originally.
8.22 changes: Added standalone bootanimation.zip to post.

    Simply Stunning Theme
I made this (rather humble) theme because I really like quite a bit of SS's themed framework/systemui. So, I tweaked a bunch of things and here you go. The Name Stunning Blue is a tip of the hat to Chevyno1 who saved my D1 from certain doom and because I really think he does an awesome job!.

    Features:
    • Color Scheme inspired by the Themed SS 5.4/5.5 ROM
    • Gauge Battery Widget
    • Minimal Impact on Launcher Icons (because we all have too many apps – lol.)
    • Animated Pulldowns
    • Themed Lockscreens
    • 3 Versions with Alternate Fonts
    • And (Optional) Matching Boot Animation
    • A few Wallpapers you might dig
    • A Nice guy making the theme???

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Download the Stunning Blues Variant you'd like:
      1. StunningBlues-Stock.zip (Uses the Stock SS font)
      2. StunningBlues-Alt.zip (Uses a stylized font)
      3. StunningBlues-Alt2.zip (Uses a stylized font)
    2. (OPTIONAL) Download the Stunning Blues Boot Animation With STOCK SIMPLY STUNNING FRAMEWORK!(StunningBlues-BootAnim.zip)
    3. Reboot to your Recovery of Choice (I prefer RZR – untested on CWM3 or SPR but should work)
    4. !!! MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP !!!
    5. I recommend wiping Cache/Dalvik – it shouldn't be necessary, but I do it anyway JIC.
    6. Navigate to the place you saved the zips.
      1. As of right now the boot animation zip file includes the Stock Simply Stunning Theme, so if you wish only the bootanimation then install this by itself
      2. IF you want the Stunning Blue AND the boot animation, install the boot animation zip FIRST, then the theme.
      3. IF you want only the theme, simply don't install the boot animation (No, I'm just clarifying for thoroughness, I know you all know.)
    7. Reboot into your phone.
    8. (OPTIONAL) unzip the StunningBlues-Extras.zip onto your SDCard, use the wallpapers as you like.
    9. Give me a shout and I'll try and respond if you have issues.
    10. Watch out for a CM7 Theme Chooser version on the Market.

You can install theBoot Animation without the Theme, it works fine.

First! LOL. Hey man, extremely nice job with this! I can't view the pics on here because of stupid government computers but I keep looking at them on G+. As soon as I'm done with this stuff on my laptop (with your help of course lol) I'm going to check this out! Again very nice job!

Very nice work. Loving the pulldown and boot animation. Is the pulldown available for a standalone install?

    This deserves a sticky!

Hey Andy, I can't get the bootanimation to work. Placed it in data/chevyno1/bootanimations and in data/local. Is it flashable maybe?

The boot animation zip is flashable. Also, if you're interested in manually installing it, simply copy bootanimation.zip (extract from the zip file) and then copy to /system/media/ from Root Explorer or via terminal:
    Steps to copy via terminal:
    1. unzip the files to a directory on your SDCard (this instruction will assume you unzipped to a directory called SBBoot.)
    2. inside your extracted directory you should see system and inside system media. This would make the full directory location of bootanimation.zip /mnt/sdcard/SBBoot/system/media
    3. open Android Terminal Emulator (I use connectbot, but it's ultimately your choice.)
    4. type the following commands:
    5. Code:
      su
      (enter)
    6. Code:
      sysrw
      (enter)
    7. Code:
      cp /mnt/sdcard/SBBoot/system/media/bootanimation.zip /system/media/
      (enter)
    8. Code:
      sysro
      (enter)
    9. Code:
      exit
      (enter)
    10. reboot your phone to see the new animation.

So the pulldown animation is tied to the framework, but I can make a version of the pulldown animation applied to the SS framework if you'd like, or to the unthemed SS look. If you'd like it, let me know.

    :)

Running theme now and flashed the bootanimation, job well done my friend! Very well done. Love that the bootanimation matches the pulldown menu!

no credit to Team Carbon for use of images?

Good job on the theme. Just should add thanks or permissions if you use things from other themes.

I too am interested in the pulldown separately but fully understand and have no issue with you spending time with your family. I just wanted to put my vote in for it. I have already added the boot animation to my phone and loving it. Will be nice to get rid of the matrix as I have removed all the other matrix stuff I had added and now it seems left behind for some reason although its cooler then stock or transparent. I would add the font you have (besides stock) but I have Megadeth bootsplash that goes into SS with Megadeth font and its pretty smooth looking.

I really like this theme but I have an animated pulldown that I use and ivery time I install it after this theme, it deletes parts of the theme. Is there any way I can use root explore to replace the animated pulldown with the one I have and flash it?

So sorry folks about the delays on the Stock stuff - as to jchammer123, I'm actually going to be experimenting with things for using t-mobile theme chooser and animated pulldowns, but I have no idea if it'll work - I realize that the theme chooser can't mess with /layout stuff, but I'm going to see if it's possible to flash the layout stuff and then make it possible to push (via xml & redirections) the animated pulldown. I'll let you know. What theme you using now bro?

Hey, additional thanks go out to the folks who made animated pulldowns, cyanogenmod, the inventor of xml, linus torvalds, nicola tesla, barack obama, Richard Nixon, AND ANYONE ELSE I FORGOT.

Please, if you feel like you are one of those people I forgot just go ahead and say it in the thread. I am considering pulling the theme anyhow.
