OK, guys. After days and days of trial and error, I finally got NexTheme (bp328i's rendition, along with some touches of my own) ported over to Project Elite 5. I ended up having to learn how to edit XML's using APKManager. Then, Project Elite 5.0.1 came out... DOH!!!

Lucky for me, the port to 5.0.1 was rather simple after getting all the groundwork laid out with 5.0.0.

The next challenge I faced was that after applying the NexTheme font (antipasto), I would lose the "subtract" sign from the calculator. I found that the only way to keep it there was to keep the same font that PE5 was released with. Sorry if that's a deal breaker for you guys, but I didn't feel good about releasing something that had a broken calculator.

This theme is practically identical to the one I ported over to PE4.2. It took a lot of time finding out where all the icons were split up to since the .PNGs from Foryo Framework are now spread and split between GingerBread Framework.apk and SystemUI.apk. So, if you guys happen to notice any PNG's that seem wrong or out of place, let me know, and I'll see if I can fix it.

    What is Themed
    ADWLauncher.apk
    Browser.apk
    Calculator.apk
    Calendar.apk
    CalendarProvider.apk
    Camera.apk
    Contacts.apk
    DeskClock.apk
    Email.apk
    Gallery3D.apk
    GenieWidget.apk
    LatinIME.apk
    Mms.apk
    Music.apk
    Phone.apk
    Settings.apk
    SystemUI.apk
    Vending.apk

I have 2 downloads for you. The theme download, and Fancy Animations.

Note: Even though the theme download will say it's for PE5.0.1, it will work just fine for 5.0.2. The same goes for Fancy Animations.

As always, make a backup before flashing. I am not responsible for you bricking or otherwise breaking your phone.

    Happy flashing!

Do you want NexTheme on your phone? If so, then install both the Theme and the Fancy Animations from the first post.

If you want the original (stock) look of PE5.0.1, but do want the Fancy Animations, then don't install either of the links in the first post. Instead, use the link JSM9872 provided along with the metamorph app from the market.

Boostjunky...Quick question before I get this up on my phone. Does this theme include themed apps like Facebook and Twitter? Or will I have to add them seperately?

I don't know if its just a coincidence, but after flashing the animations only, I've lost my LED notifications.

Hmm... Mine still has LED notifications working.

The only thing I changed in the Framework.apk and SystemUI.apk were the PNG images. I didn't touch any XML's in either of those, besides the transition animaion XML's.

Are you checking with the screen turned on? There is an option in Elite Settings called "LED while screen on", and if you don't have that selected, then the LED Notifications will only work with the screen turned off. Check to see if that is the problem.
