Don't you just love it when OEMs decide to make their devices insecure. Probably not, but it is nice when we don't have to jump through hoops just to obtain Root. The Sony Xperia Z is scheduled for release by the end of next week, and it seems like we have been waiting forever for the device to drop since it was announced at CES last month. The device has been Rooted ahead of its scheduled release. This is big news as we know that this device will more than likely be loaded with bloatware and Root access means that we can easily remove that, plus this opens up the device to all kinds of other hacks and mods!

You will need to be on firmware version 10.1A.1.350, you will need to have an unlocked bootloader, and you will need the fastboot files. From there you will flash "DoomLord's" modified CF-Auto-Root kernel, as well as the Doomlord_insecure_image, install busybox and you are done. Pretty simple stuff. This makes the 5" 1080p waterproof phone even more appealing!
