Could Tango be the next big killer app for a mobile device? It very well could be. I was especially impressed with the Lowe's home improvement demo for the product. What do you guys think?

I was pretty impressed also. The initial video was cool, as was the Lowe's demo. The price is awesome too. It may not be the right phone for everyone, it is really big. But the new technology is definitely cool, and may open the door for many more new ideas in future phones.

I feel like I'd prefer Tango on a tablet device. It's not something that I'm going to be using all the time, so I don't think I need it on a phone and the larger screen on a tablet would make it that much more immersive.

Still, awesome to see an actual Tango product come to market.

It sounds like the Tango phone is now available for sale. No one seems to be talking about it. I guess no one is interested anymore?

No one's even really talked about the Tango project with much excitement for what seems like forever now. It's a cool concept, but I don't see the benefit for the average consumer to have the tech in a phone, personally.

I agree; and that's probably why no one seems to be talking about it. That, and I think they waited way too long between press event and actual release. How many other phones have been released since then? A lot of folks probably forgot about this phone by now. Still seems like a good phone for $499 though.

Yeah. The price is spot on and it looks like a decent device for what they're asking.

The market has certainly gotten interesting lately.

I totally want the Phab 2 Pro. Not really because of Tango (but it is a new technology I'll enjoy playing with). I want the screen size. I purchased a Huawei X2 with a 7" screen but I am in an area where, even trying 3 different providers, I didn't get satisfactory MMS performance... But I LOVED the size of that phone... I am really surprised that the USA market has so few options when it comes to cell phones compared to other areas of the world!!! There is a market for larger displays here, and it is about time they realized it!!!

Where and when did you see the demo at Lowes? I haven't heard anything about that in my area... I just found out that it's available on Lowes.com for the same price as Lenovo.com. I got all the way through checkout and did get the $25 discount for using my Lowes card... But I didn't go through with the purchase. I really want to see one first... I really want the gold version (wondering if it might have 128GB and be a little more expensive)... I really want access to a good case and screen protector guaranteed to fit the PRO because I always protect my phones right out of the box...

The demo was way back on the day it was announced. There is a thread here somewhere about the announcement. Not sure if the video of that day is still available?
