    My son texted me that he signed for the package on the 5th aroung 1:30pm. I of course did not get home from work until 7:45pm. Activation went through without a hitch. I was going from OG Droid and had a new 4g sim in the box. constant playing with it since then.

    I'm very curious to know what kind of reception people are having with the SIII versus their previous smartphones. The Galaxy Nexus and the Droid Charge both suffered from poor reception according to many people. I'm hoping that Samsung has made some improvements with the SIII.

    Can't wait to hear about the performance of this phone.. I really want one but after having so much trouble with my nexus I'm a lil worried to buy another Samsung phone. Don't want to have the Mic or data problems

    Just looked to see if mine.shipped...cant get the shipping tracker to recognize the order....so i go back to confirmation email and i see its not a confirm enail...its an email.asking me to confirm the order.....dammit...now i dont even know if the order is good and if not will they do the right thing and honor the fact that i ordered it before the 28th....uggh

    Got mine!! Installed the SIM card from my RAZR and activated with no problems at all

    Verizon finally called me n got the issue resolved. I'm finally able to use my s3 n they tried to tell me I had to b on the 2GB plan.

    Got my phone but I'm stuck in the hospital at the moment. It just hangs on activation. Is there anything that I can do from here?

    Ok got it

    I just got the phone via Fedex not 20 minutes ago. First impression. Wow is this phone flimsy! I'm coming from a droid X which feels like a sherman tank comapred to this. Taking off the back cover to put in the SIM card and battery feels like I'm going to break it. This can't end well. I'm waiting to activate it until I can set up my enterprise (work software).

    Mine is at home, son signed for it. Ordered on the 28th. Still using OG Droid, and sad thing is just put an ICS rom on it and it is running best it has in long time. Would have stuck with it, if not for Verizon and unlimited grandfathering. Still looking forward to phone

    Tried that on my DX and the only option is activate now. Don't I have to have the old phone off to activate the new? Don't have a home phone to use at the moment.

    Talk to CS and have them push it threw after you hang up, wait10 minutes and power up :)

    Yes, looks like I could have activated on my old phone. My husband came in and I used his. Love it so far. Looks as sleek as my white ipad3.

    Mine came today, activated easily, BUT my unlimited data went away. It changed me to the 2GB plan. I was irate, and called Verizon. They fixed it quickly so the crisis was averted.

    So just a word of warning to check your data plan as soon as the phone is activated to make sure your plan didn't change.

    I finally got mine activated yesterday afternoon. For the first few hrs I could only get a signal if I was texting, calling or accessing the Verizon mobile app. My call to customer service ended with tech support (he could not figure out the problem), who recommended I go to a Verizon store, because they are better trained on the new devices. Right... Few hours later the signal appeared for everything. So far, the signal is not as good as my Droid 2 was. I am very pleased with the phone otherwise.

    Yes, online. First I saw it on the data usage widget, then I checked online. It even said, "Your plan has recently changed." I was like, oh hell no it didn't! :mad:
