The Bionic was supposed to get ICS... but I've been hearing of Moto stalling in getting one out. Sorry Bionic users =|

I got my RAZR about 10 days ago. It was a replacement for my Bionic that I had 3 of.
So far I like this phone its faster and more stable than the bionic I had but the battery life sucks.

Nolan, check to make sure it is not on global data. Go to settings --->more... (under data usage) ---> mobile networks ---> network mode ---> select LTE/CDMA.

In Smart Actions, enable battery extender. It will turn off Wi-Fi, data, and sync when your screen is off and automatically turn it all back on when you unlock your screen (Wi-Fi, data and sync use a lot of battery...no reason to have it running when you are not using your phone).

    Do a battery meter training:
*with phone powered off, charge it to 100% (you can check the % of charge by pressing the volume button).
*When it reaches, turn phone on, unplug, use your phone without charging it until it gets to the low battery warning (10-15% charge).
*Turn phone off and charge it while off until it reaches 100% again.
*Turn phone on and use it and charge it as you normally would.

Those three things should help your battery allot.

    Thanks Tis
Just turning off global helped allot. I will do the Battery calibration today
I finish my 8 hour with 43% remaining. Up until tonight my RAZR would have been at 10 to 20% by hour 6.
I think I am going to really enjoy my RAZR now.
    Thank you so much.

You're welcome Nolan. One thing I noticed was that the smart actions in M does not have the battery extender but instead they have battery saver, which is not as good as the previous battery extender.

For the smart action, set up two of them:

    triggers-
    *charging status, not charging &
    *display status, off

    Actions-
*background sync, only when using app
    *wifi, turn wifi off
*mobile data, turn mobile data off

    Triggers-
    *Battery status, not charging
    *Display status, on

    Actions-
*wifi, turn on (if you use wifi often)
*mobile data, turn mobile data on
    *screen brightness, auto brightness
*background data, only when I'm using that app.

Someone else may have better ideas for smart actions but these are a good start. Also setting up toggles to turn wifi on/off and data on/off can be really helpful.

Good afternoon everybody. My name is Chris. I am a Droid first timer from the original Motorola Droid. I had an Apple iPhone 4S recently and was on the wait list for the iPhone 5. My wife and I were number 4 & 5 to get ours. I had recieved an email this last Tuesday stating that our reserves had been pushed from mid Octoer to mid December due to 'unforseen manufacturing delays'. I finally said thats enough. I cancelled my reserves, took the money I was going to spend on an iPhone 5 and got myself a shiny new Motorola Droid RAZR. I have to say I LOVE IT. I had forgotten how customizable Droid is and how easy it is to work with. I do not regret giving the boot to Apple and welcoming an old friend back. I look forward to reading posts, checking out other peoples posts, and having such a large community to chat with if I ever have an issue. Thanks.

That "unforeseen" manufacturing delay is also known as a "strike". The people at the cell providers or the Apple store will not tell you that, but it's a well publicized event.

I have swapped my nexus for a razor maxx other than the reception from my nexus I was happy with it. I am hoping this will follow the same structural integrity of my old Droid x . Although I am constantly loosing money on smart phones. I could not think of a better way to follow technology. Not chasing just strolling behind. Any way hello. Glad to be here
