Got the Droid (quite excited, it's my first smartphone).
How do you enter numbers from the keyboard (yea I'm really new to this).
I've tried everything and I know how to cap and backspace etc...but the number.
I already have a google account and am starting my phone and can't get the number to show on the screen.
Any help for a really new beginner?

    Welcome to the forum!

hit the "alt" button on the bottom row next to the search button. Press it twice to lock it in the on setting. The same goes for all of the numbers and settings(everything that resides on the upper-right corner of each key). Hope this helps.

Press ALT then use the top row. That's how you get anything that's in orange on the physical keyboard. :)
