I wanted to bump this thread since it has been buried for a while and we are 20k members stronger since last time it saw the light of day...

Also, I'm considering buying some new .22 pistol for plinking (since the cheapest pistol I have to shoot is a 9mm sig) and was fishing for suggestions. Anyone?

how do you feel about a browning buck mark or ruger mkii/mkii? those are the standard plinkers people go for... i don't necessarily need a "trainer" or soething similar to my full-size guns. i'm a good shot, so that's not what i'm after.. just looking for something cheaper to shoot, and those have a good bit of aftermarket for upgrades...

I've never shot the Browning Buck, but i have shot the Ruger and loved it. Accurate, balanced, and had an all around good feel to it. It was even used by U.S. Special Forces for some time.

yeah, because a subsonic 22lr will only go through a skull once and bounce around.. and that ammo through a suppressed mkii is quieter than most paintball guns.

The only NFA gun is the Wingmaster. 12 1/4" barrel. Yes I paid my $200 vig.
The 995 is 16"
