Had to happen eventually, a little over 2 years old, legendary run for a smartphone. Keep my Droid by my bedside as a quick web browser/alarm now.

Year and a half old DX sits by my bed for an alarm clock and quick browsing for when I don't want to grab my razr off the table, works like a champ not even a dead pixel, cheers to these incredible phones

Well it's definitely locked like most phones but it's not encrypted like some. As a Nexus, it will be the easiest root you've ever done.

Ya I hope you are right and Verizon doesn't somehow screw up or interfere unlocking the Galaxy Nexus! Keeping a close eye on this Nexus :biggrin: If I get the GNex and find that Verizon screwed with Nexus openness I will give it back and keep my D1... lol
