Some people are having battery issues with jb.. it its nothing severe ...at least from what I've seen...jb is smooth...lots like ics more....but some people don't like change....I would check it out before you take the plunge...cause you can t go back..

I just downloaded the JB update but didn't update yet... I was concerned because some people said there were problems. so should I update? and will I lose root or anything else on my phone?

Yes, you will lose root...but you can get it back by downloading razrblade or t

Ya know...I would look on YouTube...you can see it in action there...

its very similar.. slightly different font...a few different apps.... foxfi stops working...but rooting will allow you to wifi tether..and /or you can do the entitlement hack...

I just run WiFi tether for root...

Hey are you running a d4 or a razr?? Your sig says a droid global...the reason j ask is that I've seen you asking questions about jelly bean in both sections...so let me clarify if I can ..

If you have a d4...I'm seeing problems with the jb update..don't do it..

If you have a razr or razr maxx...our jb update has a few battery issues, but its stable.....

Droid 4....so since I already downloaded the update it's going to pop up every 12 hours how do I stop it from updating itself?

Well..if it does...vzw will have to swap out the device...but you might get a good copy of the update..ya never know..

so the software update failed so I guess I have nothing to worry about but this happen to me when I upgraded to IceCream Sandwich I had to do a factory reset an uninstall root.... so if I ever want to go to jelly bean I have to do the same
