There really haven't been any TTS engine comparisons as comprehensive as the linked article. Something else that we've noticed that wasn't really covered is that MANY phones do not seem to have ANY TTS, or at best it is as bad or worse than Pico. In particular, it seems to be a problem on Samsung devices. Do we really want a bunch of Apple people telling us that Droid speech sounds robotic and crappy when there are a lot of great options for high quality voices out there? We certainly did not intend to spam the forum.

IMO Ivona is the best...
