...out in the boonies without a D1...and STILL putting together work for us like he does...unbelievable! Your dedication to us old throwaways with the D1 is really appreciated.
I'll be sending a little sumpin your way shortly...:)

You are welcome! And I actually still have the D1, it's just not activated - making testing stuff like calls, etc a little tough ;)

    Thanks for your support!

You can probably relate...I was up at the lake over Memorial, which is in the middle of the northern woods and never had internet until my phone.
My phone was providing access for my netbook, which was connected to my tv and surround sound in the rv....streaming netflix....:)

To be honest, I kinda freaked out watching Netflix over the 3g phone. It was nice to know it's there, but the data usage was worrying me. It sure wasn't anywhere near the size of a dvd though. Less than an avi even...but it was watchable and I couldn't do that before.

Hey Chevy. Just wanted to post a picture of my home screen for all us Chevy fans. I think it's pretty sweet! View attachment 33649
My favorite part is the dock at the bottom. It kinda reminds me of the tail end of the Impala.

This looks cool, is that some kind of launcher theme you're using?

It's actually just Launcher Pro. I got the icons and dock background from an app called Custom Launcher Icons. It's a great app for customizing your home screens.

Thank you, I'll have to look into that. I use LP anyway so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I wanted to throw in a big thanks as well. I don't know what was going on, but my phone was running awful on 5.3. I finally got a chance to flash 5.4 last night and I have my phone back again! It's been running great and I haven't had any problems at all.

    Thanks Chevy!

SS is without a doubt the best GB rom for my droid. I tried a number of different roms but they all seemed to have issues - SS is extremely responsive and stable.

    I'm loving it dancedroid

+1 - My phone has always loved Chevy's work. Even on other ROMs, I still use his kernels.
