I haven't recevied a text in 2 days. I've sent a few out and haven't gotten any responses. Had the roommate send me a message this morning to make sure I wasn't losing it, and nothing came in. I've rebooted and pulled the battery...I'm rooted on LG Revo.

Do you use a 3rd party app? You can try clearing the data and cache of your messaging app, but this will delete your messages. If you want to save them you should use SMSbackup+ before doing so
