    Hey guys,

I am trying new roms and I am tired of losing my texts everytime, I'm sure I'm overlooking it, but where are they stored so I can back them up and restore them?

Mods: please correct my typo in the subject :)

well i dont know if they "save" to the phone, but you can download Handscent and it has the save text option, not sure if u can save all your texts or what, most of the time when i save a picture thats in a text, it will save it to the "download" folder. dont think texts save without the help of an app.

    Just found it: /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/mmssms.db

    Mms attachments are in: /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/app_parts/.

a much easier way man, would be to download one of the many SMS backup apps in the market.. i can't recall the exact name of the one i use, cause my droid is not with me, but something like SMS backup and Restore..
its free, and very reliable, i know it has the option to use schelduled backups, adn its by an australian devoloper..

    :)
