On the line for "TO" it will not recognize all of my contacts, just very few of them. To send a text I have to look up number from contacts, write it down and inset on "TO" line. Pain in the rear end. No help from Verizon store. I do not have facebook, or multiple email addresses to conflict with this. Any help appreciated.

The only thing I can come up with is that you do not have the phone numbers entered correctly. The Default messaging application does not "recognize" (display) any contact that doesn't have a mobile number associated with it. If you put the numbers under "Home" or "business" it assumes they are landlines and does not allow you to send a text to them.

Is this an easy fix? Or do I have to individually change all numbers?

If you have them in the wrong location, then you will need to change them manually for each number.
