I have an unrooted plain Droid 2. I recently was participating in a competition where I had to text a lot and once i hit a certain number a prompt would pop up and say, not verbatim but basically, "you're sending a lot of messages do you know you're doing this and if you do press ok if not press cancel". I know there's a sms limit removal app in the marketplace if you root your device, but I don't really want to do that... any help?

First, welcome to DroidForums! Have fun, play nice (Respect is #1 here), and make yourself at home!
Open your default messaging app and press menu to go to settings. You should see an option that says Delete Old Messages. Unchecking that will remove any limiting on your messages :)

Thread has been Thunder struck!!
