I finally decided to try out ADW Launcher, so I can use the text icons.

I downloaded some really nice white and Red, icons from a thread on XDA. unfortunately, the package did not have icons for everything I keep on my home screen, so I decided tot ry and make my own.

They came out ok, but the lower text is really hard to read.

What is a really good font to use for these icons? I tried to match the font from the icon pack I downloaded, but I coudn't find that style in Gimp. (the icons on my dock are the ones I downloaded.)

Im a Gimp noob, so I'm also wondering if there is a way to stretch the font taller without making it wider?

Thanks in advance fo any help.

Heres my screen shot. (the 4 icons on my home screen are the ones I created)

I would suggest that anybody using gimp to switch to paint.net anyways. Cleaner UI, faster, better overall experience!

I agree. The ui reminds me of ms paint, but so much more powerful.

I hate that i just compared paint.net to ms paint, lol.

Hehe, i made those icons (the bottom ones), i could upload the psd later if u want, depending on how comfortable with Photoshop u are. Kerning and stretch are key :) Or if u have requests, lemme know.
