So I know this is a total long shot, but I was wondering if there was a way to tether the ipod touch (jailbroken or non) via wifi to the droid so I can use the droids 3g access for safari or other things on the ipod touch, just wondering if its even possible or if someones attempted but failed

I can confirm this works with the wifi tether hack. I have the SlingPlayer app on my iPod Touch and am able to Sling Live TV via 3G with zero issues.

My ipod touch wont connect to it, but my laptops connect just fine....

It worked for me on second try. Had to be sure the laptop was no longer connected.

I couldn't tether a droid to a droid. You may ask why I want to do this -- no reason except for experimentation.

    No luck yet

I been looking online for days. I have the tether hack working perfect on my droid. Problem is I am unable to connect my DS or my PSP to the Droid. I have tried manual set up, automatic and everything in between. Am i missing somthing?

I've tried to hook up my psp through the wifi tether as well and it doesn't work. I could be wrong but I believe the reason is that the wifi tether broadcasts an ad hoc wifi signal whereas the psp looks for an infrastructure wifi signal. Again I could be wrong seeing as how I'm no expert on wifi signals or wifi tethering for that matter, but that's the assumption I came up with. I got wifi tether to work on pretty much everything, except handheld consoles(psp, ds), and certain other phones. I tried testing it on my friends HTC HD2 and it doesn't see the access point either. Also the ipod touch and iphone both see and can connect to it.

I don't know about the DS but the PSP uses a 802.11b wifi connection and the Droid uses 802.11g so they aren't going to see each other...
