i dont think they are gonna "share" the data plan automatically. there is a way where you can use your DroidX's internet to run the web on the tablet if that is something you wanna do

are you planning on buying it thru verizon?

If you're not required to get a data plan with the tablet you can either tether it to the X for an extra 20 bucks a month (or free if you're rooted). If it required a data plan then there would be no point in sharing.

tethering is just using ur internet on ur phone for another device - here ur tablet

you can use 3G mobile hotspot but thats $20/month. rooting will pretty much allow u to use a similar service for free
