T-Mobile's Uncarrier program which they launched several months ago is off to a very respectable start. T-Mobile just added 1 Million net new subscribers in Q3. This also includes a net gain of 643,000 branded postpaid subscribers. Because of this T-Mo was able to beat the revenue consensus estimate of $6.56 billion by hitting $6.69 billion. Contrast that with their net loss of $7.71 billion in the Q3 of 2012 and that's a very respectable bump! Here's the press release below with more info,

They got me. I just ported my number from VZW this evening for the $30/mo plan. I'm feeling good about it too.

This is good news for all customers, even those on competing carriers.
