It looks like the soak test for the T-Mobile Moto X Android 4.4.2 update we told you about last week was successful. The newest version of Android for the Moto X has started rolling out to the T-Mobile version first. Along with all the normal goodies that this update brings to the table, it also includes a few juicy improvements as well. Here's a breakdown,
  • Printing documents and pictures: Added support for printing photos, Google Docs, GMail messages, and other content via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hosted services like Google Cloud Print and HP ePrinters.
  • Improved battery life: Fixed bugs which caused a small number of users to experience shorter battery life after upgrading to Android 4.4.
  • Fixed email sync delays: Fixed a bug that could cause email services like Microsoft Exchange to experience intermittent delays in data synchronization.
This version is firmware 161.44.25, and if you don't want to wait for the OTA, then you can simply go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates and select “download.” It's still a pretty big update, so you might want to do it over WiFi, just in case. Sound off if you are one of the lucky folks who have this already.
