System update failing

I have a samsung galaxy victory and since ive gotten the phone wont system update. the update notification pops up and it goes to the installing screen and gets halfway through and then it says error in cache installation aborted and im forced to reboot it without the update having been installed.

Welcome to the forum ..I'm not familiar with the phone ...is it stock ?
Also I know Samsung Kies supports firmware updates ..I'm not sure on your model though

He means, is it the way it came from the factory without any modifications to the operating system.

Did you buy the phone from someone or did you buy it from a retailer?
