System update 7/11/18 crashing facebook

My Galaxy 7 Edge updated twice this week and yesterdays seems to have created an issue with Facebook.
It starts to open then crashes. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail. In hindsight, Im not sure if it was an Android update, a Facebook update, or a Samsung update. Android version states 7.0, security software version is April 2018 Release 1 Facebook version 180.0.0.35.82
Everything else works fine, and browser will access FB sucessfully.

Any one else experience this??

Update, After posting this issue, Android updated to 8.0.0 and Samsung Experience version is 9.0.
Facebook is still crashing, I am investigating installing an older version of FB from 2 weeks ago.

did you try wiping the cache partition?

Wipe cache partition: Samsung Galaxy S7 edge

I don't use Facebook but my wife does and the newest app update seems to pop up with "Facebook has stopped..." quite often lately.

And yes, that is after wiping the cache partition every morning.

After one more removal of facebook updates, and letting it update, all is working fine.
Not sure which did the trick but it's working.

My guess would be the recent Facebook app update since it has affected different phones. I'll try the same thing on her phone. Thanks for the update.

Sounds like it turned out to be a corrupted update. glad all is well.
