Every time my phone randomly runs hot or laggy I notice this system/bin/mediaserver is using 70%+ of my cpu. What is it and how can I make it stop? I have no music or videos playing nor did I since I last rebooted the phone. It does this for hours every time I reboot the phone and many times just randomly after that.

    Btw I'm running BBv0.3 using Chevy1 250-1000 LV

The only time I notice any lag at all on BBV0.3 (using the same kernel as you), is after browsing. Specifically after viewing anything flash related. It severely slows the whole phone down until it catches up (assuming it is shutting down flash or something).

I am also having this problem every now and then and I could tell the battery was suffering. This has also happened to me not using live wallpapers. This last happened on BB 1.1 btw. I just went to Froyo yesterday and have not noticed it yet.
