sync and battery life

The account sync is a nice feature since the update but my fear is what it will do to my battery life. Anyone use this to keep everything synced? Any issues?

I use a toggle switch to sync a few times a day. Most things will sync when you open the app and some apps have a setting to enable sync in some form. I find that the auto sync ability is overkill and uses more battery and data than necessary.
