    it says beta is closed..sucks cause i have been using it for a while now and absolutly love it.

    I might just end up.. uninstalling.. and repurchasing..

    Where are you purchasing Swype from? It was a leaked beta to start with, and both the original and the new beta are available as legit free downloads.

    Try downloading it directly into your Droid using the thread here entitled, [​IMG] Heres the swype apk. Then open it from the SD file. If for some reason it just doesn't work, try the easily downloadable alternative app, SlideIT, from the regular download Market, although you will have to pay.

    been using the free version of slideIT from the market for a little while.... it works pretty good, maybe better than swype, but its ugly.

    i Got it.. THanks for that link. It works now. I think its even a newer version?.. Pretty Awesome...

    You are not supposed to open the apk file. Download Astro (file manager or any file manager), go to the folder that contains the apk file, click on it, click on open app manager and click install. :) Oh and make sure you allow unknown app to be install on your droid

    Or just download "appinstaller" from the market and save several steps ;-)
