    Very interesting question!
    Not sure of the legalities, but I think the apps are tied to your Google account (or Amazon account, if you get apps from Amazon). So, if you handed over your account as well... again, check the legalities.
    Some apps are locked to the Device they were initially registered on. So you may not be able to use them on another device.

    Which is kind of what I figured. I'm probably canning my DX soon, and getting me some Mango. I was wondering what I could do with my paid apps.
