switch from frankenrom to ... ?

Apparently I switched from stock to FrankenROM about the same time that its developer went on hiatus. I like it, but various apps crash occasionally and the Vcast update notification won't go away.

Are any newer ROMs available that won't require me to redo all my settings? Accounts? Installed apps? Desktop?

Most ROM's will require/recommend a full wipe before install. You can flash new ROM's without wiping, but sometimes problems arise and you are unable to troubleshoot the problem because you didnt wipe.

I find it pretty easy to get back the setup I had. On D1, often times I didnt wipe before flashing, but on the Dinc I wipe everytime, seems to take only a little longer to do this and restore settings.
