My wifes D1 has the superuser app downloaded and I am trying to figer out how to remove it. Her D1 is stock and has not been rooted, so how would this app even be on her phone. I tried to wipe phone cash and data but no luck still there. Anyone have this problem?

if she has the superuser icon then chances are she is rooted (or was at some point)

if shes on 2.2, she can apply this file - link 1, option 6 will show u how to go about it.

Go to the Market, then Menu -> Downloads. If you see Superuser listed, you can uninstall it from there.

I tried that last night and is not in the market downloads so how did it get there? My wife dose not even have clue when it comes to any type of computer stuff so its not like she tried to root the phone.

I dunno, weird. Maybe you can go into the market and install/update it, then be able to remove it? Or go ahead and root the phone. Don't have to install a custom rom or anything, just add root. Maybe it is rooted... install a root only app and check it out.

And I don't know of any apps you can install that would automatically install superuser, but maybe one did.

Hay! I did notice that the version of SU is different between the two droids. I am gonna update the SU on her phone and give that a try.

Yes, I did try ROM manager last night and did nothing.
