For those of you with a Super Target that now has a mobile department, they should also carry LTE SIM cards - for half the price of Best Buy ($10 vs $20). Yes, Verizon stores have them for free, but you have to activate it in store with them - and there have been a few rare occasions where I didn't want to do that, I just wanted to have the SIM handy. So just FYI...

OK, the Bionic is my first phone with a SIM card. Why would I need an extra?

Thanks

You wouldn't... unless you're a serial phone swapper like myself... :)

Or you decide to activate an older 3G only phone for some more reliable data for a brief period, and then have to go back to the LTE phone. Once you deactivate a SIM card, it's dead, and you have to replace it.

You can get a free one from Verizon another way as well: When you do the online switch back to a 4g device it gives you the option of having one shipped to you free. It comes still in the wrapper, inactivated.
